Yet&nbsp;many of the people believed in him; they said, “When the Christ appears, will he do more signs than this man?”</b></div><div><b>32. &nbsp;The Pharisees heard the crowd thus muttering about him, and the chief priests and Pharisees sent officers to arrest him.</b></div><div><b>33. &nbsp;Jesus then said, “I shall be with you a little longer, and then I go to him who sent me;</b></div><div><b>34. &nbsp;You will seek me and you will not find me; where I am you cannot come.”</b></div><div><b>35. &nbsp;The Jews said to one another, “Where does this man intend to go that we shall not find him? &nbsp;Does he intend to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks? &nbsp;</b></div><div><b>36. &nbsp;What does he mean by saying, ‘You will seek me and you will not find me,’ and, ‘Where I am you cannot come’?”</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><br></div><div>The understanding&nbsp;of the people who believed in Jesus, (that he was the anointed one sent from God to deliver Israel), was&nbsp;incomplete. &nbsp;Just like our own. &nbsp;They thought Jesus had preformed sufficient signs already to reveal himself as their/our Savior sent from God. &nbsp;Yet Jesus had another ‘sign’ to preform that would far exceed all anyone could ever imagine; &nbsp;‘the sign of Jonah’, his own death and resurrection. &nbsp;Their understanding of who Jesus was and what he was sent to do would soon&nbsp;greatly be changed.</div><div><br></div><div>Our own understanding of Jesus and what he is doing in us is likewise incomplete. &nbsp;We see as through a glass dimly.</div><div><br></div><div>The Pharisees and chief priests did not understand that soon, following the resurrection,&nbsp;Jesus would only show himself to Believers. &nbsp;They asked the meanings of some of Jesus words, but missed the most important, <i>“I shall be with you a little longer, and&nbsp;then I go to him who sent me.” </i>(v. 33)</div><div>With these words, Jesus is again telling them and us, that he is from the Father. &nbsp;He is from heaven. &nbsp;He is God in the flesh, come to deliver not the political state of Israel, but the true Israel of all who are Abraham’s children, Jews and Gentiles who believe in Jesus.</div><div><br></div><div>Jesus said, <i>“Where I am, you cannot come.” &nbsp;</i>Notice, he speaks in the present text. &nbsp;He did not say, ‘Where I will be, you can not come’ but <i>“Where I </i><u>am”.</u>&nbsp; Our question should be, &nbsp;‘Where is Jesus presently?’ &nbsp; The answer is: Jesus is in the Father’s favor, he is in perfect holiness and in the very center of the will of the Father. &nbsp;Only Believers can be where Jesus ‘is’.</div><div><br></div><div>Do you believe you are in the Father’s favor, right now? &nbsp;You are in perfect holiness, right now. &nbsp;You are in the will of the Father, right now. &nbsp;Being a Believer means ongoing growth in understanding the word of God,&nbsp;‘who/whose’&nbsp;you are. &nbsp;From that knowledge all else grows.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Bless me Father to never stop growing in understanding all of your living Word. &nbsp;In Jesus I pray, Amen</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word.”</div><div><i><u><br></u></i></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><div><br></div><div><br><br><br><a href="https://overview.mail.yahoo.com/?.src=iOS" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
