<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>John 7;40-44<div><br></div><div><b>40. &nbsp;When they heard these words, some of the people said, “This is really the prophet.” &nbsp;</b></div><div>(see, Deuteronomy 18;15-19)</div><div><b>41. &nbsp;Others said, “This is the Christ.” &nbsp;But some said, “ Is the Christ to come from Galilee?</b></div><div><b>42. &nbsp;Has not the scripture said that the Christ is descended from David, and comes from Bethlehem, the village where&nbsp;David was?”</b></div><div><b>43. &nbsp;So there was a division among the people over him.</b></div><div><b>44. &nbsp;Some of them wanted to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him.</b></div><div><br></div><div>In seeking to know the truth, we too often trust our emotions and powers of reason, but in matters of Divine Truth we must trust in the scripture and prayers which implore God for wisdom in the soul.</div><div><br></div><div>A little information can be a dangerous thing if we do not know the full truth. &nbsp;Jesus did come from Galilee, but he was not born in Nazareth as many supposed. &nbsp;We know Jesus is the babe of Bethlehem, just as scripture foretold. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>How incredibly blessed we are in these latter days to have been given the entire counsel of God, the Word of Truth. &nbsp;What confused the people, partial information, God has delivered us from if we abide in the Word and trust it over/beyond reason.</div><div><br></div><div>Those who declared Jesus <i>“the prophet” </i>(foretold by Moses), or <i>“the Christ”, </i>were both right.</div><div>Jesus is both our Prophet, anointed King, (and Great High Priest). &nbsp;As yet, the people had not learned of the last and final sacrifice which he would offer, himself, the Lamb of God, for the life of the world.</div><div><br></div><div>In the most important quest of our entire lives, the search for Truth, our reason will fail us. &nbsp;We must trust in the scripture using&nbsp;the gift&nbsp;of God in our hearts and souls, faith&nbsp;to believe&nbsp;beyond reason.</div><div><br></div><div>Even before Good Friday and Easter, some of the people were correct in knowing the Truth, but even they did not know the whole Truth. &nbsp;By God’s grace, it is now our task to make that whole Truth known to the entire world. &nbsp;We are not called to be ‘Believers’, but rather, ‘Disciple Makers’. &nbsp;Have we grasped the whole Truth yet?</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, grant that I not be content to be only a Believer, make me to know the whole Truth and&nbsp;become the&nbsp;Disciple Maker you saved me to be. &nbsp;In Jesus I pray, Amen</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word.”</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br><br><a href="https://overview.mail.yahoo.com/?.src=iOS" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></body></html>
