<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>John 19;28-30<div><br></div><div><b>28. &nbsp;After this, knowing that all was finished, said (to fulfil the scripture), “I thirst.”</b></div><div><b>29. &nbsp;A bowl full of vinegar stood there; so they put a sponge full of the&nbsp;vinegar on hyssop and held it to his mouth.</b></div><div><b>30. &nbsp;When Jesus had received the vinegar, he said, “it is finished”, and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><i>“They gave me poison</i>&nbsp;<i>for food&nbsp;</i>(they poisoned my food with gall),&nbsp;<i>and for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.” &nbsp;</i>(Psalm 69;21)</div><div><br></div><div><i>“For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again. &nbsp;No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again; this charge I have from the Father”&nbsp;</i></div><div>(John 10;17&amp;18)</div><div><br></div><div>Our Lord Jesus remained in control to the end. &nbsp;But this was not to be the end. &nbsp;As Jesus says in John 10, he would <i>“take it again”. </i>&nbsp;(v. 18)<b></b></div><div><br></div><div>Jesus earthly life was ‘scripted by the Scriptures’, &nbsp;all he did, he did to fulfil the Word of God. &nbsp;Concerning himself he said, <i>“I came not to do my will but the will of him who sent me.”</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div>Consider this, Christ dwells now in us. &nbsp;In order for us to walk by the Spirit, we too must see our selves as cleansed vessels, in-dwelt by Jesus. &nbsp;This is why he teaches us to pray, <i>“Thy will be done.” </i>To be in the Mind of Christ, is to seeking to do the Father’s will. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Paul writes, <i>“For freedom Christ has set you free.” &nbsp;</i>But, the freedom we have been given, has been given to us to be employed now as free men who choose to become servants, even slaves.</div><div><br></div><div>As born a&nbsp;new workmanship of God, created <u>in</u>&nbsp;Christ Jesus, we serve the Father’s will not out of the coercive threat of the Law, but our of free choice, out of the same love that constrained Jesus.</div><div><br></div><div>We are <u>not </u>victims. &nbsp;Our lives are not out of control. &nbsp;We are free men, no matter what the circumstances of our lives. &nbsp;We by faith can embrace our circumstances for what they are, all part of the Father’s plan for us, give thanks and be set free from fear and death.<u></u></div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, grant us such faith as to believe our lives right now are exactly what you have in love given us, for your own self to be glorified in us and our spirit and conduct. &nbsp;In a Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word.”</div><div><br><br><br><a href="https://overview.mail.yahoo.com/?.src=iOS" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></body></html>


John 19;28-30
28.  After this, knowing that all was finished, said (to fulfil the scripture), “I thirst.”29.  A bowl full of vinegar stood there; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop and held it to his mouth.30.  When Jesus had received the vinegar, he said, “it is finished”, and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
“They gave me poison for food (they poisoned my food with gall), and for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.”  (Psalm 69;21)
