<html><head></head><body><div><div><div>Acts 2;5-13<div><br></div><div><b>5. &nbsp;Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven.</b></div><div><b>6. &nbsp;And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one&nbsp;&nbsp;heard them speaking in their own language.</b></div><div><b>7. &nbsp;And they were amazed and wondered, saying, “Are not all of these who are speaking Galileans?</b></div><div><b>8. &nbsp;And how is it that we hear, each one of us in his own native language?</b></div><div><b>9. &nbsp;Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,</b></div><div><b>10. &nbsp;Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,</b></div><div><b>11. &nbsp;Creations and Arabians, we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.”</b></div><div><b>12. &nbsp;And all were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “What does this mean?”</b></div><div><b>13. &nbsp;But others mocking said, “They are filled with new wine.”</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>Human limitations do not limit God working through&nbsp;believing obedient hearts.</div><div><br></div><div>Never say, “I can’t” to God. &nbsp;Our life of faith and good works are God’s doing in and through us, it is not born of the flesh, but of the Spirit. &nbsp;All good works are of God not self. &nbsp;All glory goes only to God.</div><div><br></div><div>Think of Moses who tried to get out of obeying God’s Command and Call on the basis of his own human limitations, <i>“But Moses said, ‘Oh, my LORD, I am not eloquent, either heretofore or since thou hast spoken to they servant; but I am slow of tongue.” &nbsp;Then the LORD said to him, “ Who hast made man’s mouth? &nbsp;Who makes him&nbsp;</i><i>dumb, or the deaf, seeing or blind? &nbsp;Is it not I, the LORD? &nbsp;Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.” &nbsp;</i><span>(Exodus 4;10-12)</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Faith and obedience are the essentials of discipleship, much more than skill, ability, wealth, and authority. &nbsp;Galileans were considered the ‘uneducated hillbillies’ of the Jewish world. &nbsp;Yet, these were the men Jesus chose as witnesses and heralds of the New Testament.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Education, training, and&nbsp;experience are certainly of value, especially the ongoing study of the Word. &nbsp;However, when needed, God can speak through the mouth of a dumb ass. &nbsp;Living out the life of discipleship is certainly God at work in and through us. &nbsp;As John the Baptist said, <i>“He must increase; I must decrease.” &nbsp;</i>(John 3;30).&nbsp;</span><i>&nbsp;</i><span>Spiritual maturity and fruitfulness is the work of God diminishing the ‘self’ and magnifying the LORD in and through us.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, deliver us&nbsp;from the ‘self’. &nbsp;Bless us to discover who you have made us in Christ Jesus. &nbsp;In him we pray, Amen.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Love,</span></div><div><span>Dad/Baba/Eric</span></div><div><span>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</span></div><div><span>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word.”</span></div><div><br><br><a href="https://overview.mail.yahoo.com/?.src=iOS" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></body></html>

Human limitations do not limit God working through believing obedient hearts.
Never say, “I can’t” to God.  Our life of faith and good works are God’s doing in and through us, it is not born of the flesh, but of the Spirit.  All good works are of God not self.  All glory goes only to God.
