<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Acts 8;32-35<div><br></div><div><b>32. &nbsp;Now the passage of scripture which he was reading was this: “as a sheep led to the&nbsp;slaughter&nbsp;before its shearer is dumb, so he opens&nbsp;not his mouth.</b></div><div><b>33. &nbsp;In his humiliation justice was denied him. &nbsp;Who can describe his generation? &nbsp;For his life was taken up from the earth.”</b></div><div><b>34. &nbsp;And the eunuch said to Philip, “About whom, pray, does the prophet say this, about himself or about some one else?”</b></div><div><b>35. &nbsp;Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this scripture he told him the good news of Jesus.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>Reading scripture, we&nbsp;know&nbsp;that there will be passages which we do not understand, when we do&nbsp;we have a choice.</div><div>We can respond according to our flesh with frustration, dismiss the effort, and justify reading no more,</div><div>Or, we can seek out teachers who will guide us into right understanding.</div><div><br></div><div>The first and most important teacher who is always present yearning&nbsp;to help and lead us is the Holy Spirit. &nbsp;Whenever we pick up our Bibles to read, wise humble Believers will pray, asking the Holy Spirit to open our hearts, minds, souls, and spirits, to comprehend and embrace&nbsp;the Truth of God. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>All earthly teachers must be judged as to their faithfulness, insight, and intent. &nbsp;Again, it is the Holy Spirit who is with and in us, who confirms the trustworthiness of the earthly teacher, or who cautions us to not embrace their teachings. &nbsp;It is <i>“the peace of God” </i>which will&nbsp;keep&nbsp;our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.</div><div><br></div><div>To be a disciple, is to make disciples. &nbsp;To make disciples, baptizing and teaching, we must ourselves know the scriptures. &nbsp;Philip knew the scriptures. &nbsp;Further, faithful teachers must themselves model the Christ whom they seek to impart. &nbsp;You can not impart what you do not possess.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, grant us all to, <i>“Study to show thyself&nbsp;approved unto God, a&nbsp;workmen that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” &nbsp;</i>(2Timothy 2;15) &nbsp;Bless us to faithfully&nbsp;hear,&nbsp;read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest your living Word. &nbsp;Bless us&nbsp;to know we study not only for ourselves, but for those whom you give us to teach. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.<i></i></div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word.”</div><div><br></div><div><br><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
