<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Acts 9;26-28a<div><br></div><div><b>26. &nbsp;And when he had come to Jerusalem he attempted to join the disciples; and they were all afraid of him, for they did not believe that he was a disciple.</b></div><div><b>27. &nbsp;But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared to them how on the road he had seen&nbsp;the Lord, who spoke to him, and how at Damascus he had preached bodily in the name of Jesus.</b></div><div><b>28. &nbsp;So he went in and out among them at Jerusalem,</b></div><div><b>29. &nbsp;preaching boldly in the name of the Lord.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>Even God’s own people sometimes fail to know us for who we now are. &nbsp;Instead, they only&nbsp;remember who we were.</div><div><br></div><div>When God’s own people fail to recognize the truth of who we are, we have a choice to make. &nbsp;We can be angry at them, give in to discouragement, and withdraw isolated and alone; or we can persist and wait for others to figure it&nbsp;out, they will someday. &nbsp;Sometimes we just have to keep going without recognition, we are never really alone. &nbsp;Our Lord Jesus IS with us as we humbly walk on in faith.</div><div><br></div><div>It is heartbreaking to be cut off from the people we love, but if that is what God allows, we must know GOD ALLOWS IT for our blessing. &nbsp;We are sharing in the sufferings of Christ.</div><div><br></div><div>Barnabas is an often overlooked person in the Bible. &nbsp;But, think what might have happened if he had not spoken up for Saul…</div><div><br></div><div>This whole topic calls us to consider how we ourselves ‘look’ at people. &nbsp;Do we see them for who they were, or for who they now are. &nbsp;This world is full of people who need the eyes of Believers to see them for who they now are and for who they will be. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Now, ask yourself, ‘Who do I see when I look in the mirror?’ &nbsp;We need to see ourselves with ‘Believers&nbsp;eyes’ too. &nbsp;Our enemies, the devil, this world, and our own flesh try to tell us who we are, but faith and God’s Word say different. &nbsp;Do not trust your own feelings. &nbsp;You are a child of God, an heir of heaven, an instrument in&nbsp;God’s hands, his own servant. &nbsp;As Jesus said, <i>“As the Father has sent me, even so, I send you.” &nbsp;</i>(John 20;21), <i>“You are the light of the world.&nbsp;a A city set on a hill can not be hid. &nbsp;Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. &nbsp;Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” &nbsp;</i>(Matthew 5;14-16)</div><div><br></div><div>Take your truth from Jesus, not from your feelings or those around you.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, grant that your living Word be our truth and not our earthly circumstances. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word.”<br><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
