<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Acts 9;36-43<div><br></div><div><b>36. &nbsp;Now there was at Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which means Dorcas or gazelle. &nbsp;She was full of good works and acts of charity.</b></div><div><b>37. &nbsp;In those days she fell sick and died; and when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.</b></div><div><b>38. &nbsp;Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him entreating him, “Please come to us without delay.”</b></div><div><b>39. &nbsp;So Peter rose and went with them. &nbsp;And when he had come, they took him to the upper room. &nbsp;All the widows stood beside him&nbsp;weeping, and showing coats and garments which Dorcas made while she was with them.</b></div><div><b>40. &nbsp;But Peter put them all outside and knelt down and prayed; then turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, rise.” &nbsp;And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.</b></div><div><b>41. &nbsp;And he gave her his hand and lifted her up. &nbsp;Then calling the saints and widows he presented her alive.</b></div><div><b>42. &nbsp;And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.</b></div><div><b>43. &nbsp;And he stayed in Joppa for many days with one Simon, a tanner.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>When in our mind’s eye we imagine this event, who do we see traveling the road from Lydda to Joppa?</div><div>Do we see just the man Peter, or do we see the yielded&nbsp;vessel Peter, in whom dwelt the Lord Jesus by the Holy&nbsp;Spirit?&nbsp; A servant of God, serving.</div><div><br></div><div>It is a member of the Body of Christ who knelt down and prayed, then who said, <i>“Tabitha, rise”.</i></div><div>Our temporal eyes see only temporal things. &nbsp;Our human minds think of this as Peter doing this miracle, it was not Peter only, but Peter in-dwelt by the Lord. &nbsp;The voice Tabitha heard, (which can be heard by all the dead even now), is the voice of Jesus, speaking through Peter’s voice.</div><div><br></div><div>Once more, notice that the outcome of this event was not just the raising of Tabitha from death, it was that, <i>“many believed.” &nbsp;</i>Miracles are aids to evangelistic ministry, not an end in themselves.</div><div><br></div><div>The greater miracle is the gift of faith. &nbsp;The saving faith God has worked in us IS the great miracle of our lives!</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, grant us eyes which see Jesus at work in each other and in ourselves. &nbsp;Grant us such love of Christ working in us that we also be your&nbsp;yielded and available servants. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word.”</div><div><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>

When in our mind’s eye we imagine this event, who do we see traveling the road from Lydda to Joppa?Do we see just the man Peter, or do we see the yielded vessel Peter, in whom dwelt the Lord Jesus by the Holy Spirit?  A servant of God, serving.

The greater miracle is the gift of faith.  The saving faith God has worked in us IS the great miracle of our lives!
Prayer:  Merciful Father, grant us eyes which see Jesus at work in each other and in ourselves.  Grant us such love of Christ working in us that we also be your yielded and available servants.  In Jesus we pray, Amen.
