<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Ephesians 3;16<div><br></div><div>14. &nbsp;For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,</div><div>15. &nbsp;from whom every family in heaven and earth is named,</div><div><b>16. &nbsp;that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with might through his Spirit in the inner man.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>All true riches, righteousness, life, and enlightenment,&nbsp;comes to us through the immeasurable riches of the&nbsp;glory of the Father. &nbsp;This glory is revealed to us in the promise given to Adam and Eve, that someday <i>“the</i><i>&nbsp;S</i><i>eed of the woman, would crush the serpents head.”</i>&nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>That promise was realized in the incarnation, birth, baptism,&nbsp;death, and resurrection of Jesus. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>We now who have believed and are baptized <i><u>“into Christ Jesus”</u></i>&nbsp;have not just been forgiven, but have been <i>“born anew of the water and the Spirit”. &nbsp;&nbsp;</i></div><div><br></div><div>We are now, <i>“the workmanship of God, created in Christ Jesus”.</i>&nbsp; What God has created is the <i>“new man”. &nbsp;</i>He lives within us, in our forgiven and cleansed soul. &nbsp;The new man lives because of Christ, he lives in Christ, he lives with Christ. &nbsp;The new man is in fellowship and communion with Christ. &nbsp;The new man is able to grow and be strengthened with the very <i>“might”</i>&nbsp;of God, by the <i>“Spirit”</i>&nbsp;of God&nbsp;given us in Holy Baptism.<i></i></div><div><br></div><div>We still retain the flesh, with all its’ weaknesses. &nbsp;Physical death is still working upon our bodies. &nbsp;But, they are cleansed bodies, able to be, <i>“presented to God&nbsp;as a living sacrifice.”</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div>These bodies are now indwelt by the new man, who has been given, <i>“the Mind of Christ” </i>which is the will to do the Father’s will. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Yet, the living out of the <i>“good works prepared for us to do by the Father from eternity” </i>can not be done with human strength. &nbsp;They can only be done with <i>“might” </i>from God by <i>“the Spirit”. &nbsp;</i>This is how Paul can say, <i>“I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.”</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div>By faith in the indwelling of Christ, in and with the new man, we too can say the same. &nbsp;We can walk in newness of life. Ephesians 3;16

That promise was realized in the incarnation, birth, baptism, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
