<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Ephesians 6;10<div><br></div><div><b>10. &nbsp;Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>Being, <i>“strong <u>in the Lord</u>” </i>&nbsp;has little to do with physicality, (although our bodies <u>are</u>&nbsp;temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should give them proper nutrition and exercise). &nbsp;This exhortation is not about physicality, but about Paul teaching us, even&nbsp;commanding us to “<i>Be</i>” in the Lord. &nbsp;</div><div><span>&nbsp;</span></div><div><span>‘Being’&nbsp;</span><i>“<u>in the Lord”</u></i><i>&nbsp;</i><span>&nbsp;</span><span>is a meta-physical, super-natural&nbsp;state of mind, heart, soul, and spirit. &nbsp;It is a central&nbsp;matter of the Christian faith, (It is&nbsp;what Paul refers to in Roman 8;2&nbsp;<i>“The Law of the “spirit of <u>life <b>in</b>&nbsp;Christ Jesus</u>.”</i>)</span><span><i></i></span></div><div><span><i><br></i></span></div><div><span>&nbsp;<i>“Be strong&nbsp;</i></span><u>in the Lord”</u>&nbsp;is a reminder that we are <i>“baptized </i><u>into Christ”.</u>&nbsp; (Romans 6;3) &nbsp;As the Words of Institution before Holy Communion,&nbsp;result is the presence of the true living&nbsp;Body and the true living&nbsp;Blood of Jesus in the consecrated bread and wine of the sacrament and received by Believers, so too, has the Word of God in Baptism, resulted in we being consecrated, in-dwelt by the true living&nbsp;Christ, his own&nbsp;real presence. &nbsp;If God can enter none-living bread and wine, he can certainly enter cleansed, and&nbsp;sanctified hearts, minds, souls, <span>and spirits,</span>&nbsp;for us to receive and live now <u>in</u>&nbsp;him. &nbsp;Paul, by these words is exhorting us to acknowledge, believe, and live in this truth of God. &nbsp;This is the, <i>“Law of the ‘spirit of life <u>in Christ Jesus.”</u></i></div><div><i><u><br></u></i></div><div>Our strength is not ‘our strength’ at all, it is Christ at work in us. &nbsp;<i>“For&nbsp;God is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” &nbsp;</i>(Philippians 2;13) By this strength we can discipline ourselves to read scripture daily, pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances, and&nbsp;give of our treasures and time&nbsp;sacrificially, love our enemies, and abide in the peace and joy of Jesus.</div><div><br></div><div>Such strength is by faith, faith which puts absolutely&nbsp;no confidence in the flesh, but is of God who we are in and who is in us. &nbsp;The divine strength is for spiritual warfare, which we will examine tomorrow.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, grant us faith to truly&nbsp;believe that, <i>“I can do all things in him&nbsp;who strengthens me.” </i>(Philippians 4;13) and to know those <i>“things”</i>&nbsp;are according to Your will and also our own new cleansed and sanctified will which belongs to every&nbsp;new-born baptized Believer. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation and we are His.”</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>


Ephesians 6;10
10.  Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
