<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Philippians 2;1-4<div><br></div><div><b>1. &nbsp;So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any incentive of love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy,</b></div><div><b>2. &nbsp;complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.</b></div><div><b>3. &nbsp;Do nothing out of selfishness or conceit, but in humility count others better than yourselves.</b></div><div><b>4. &nbsp;Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.</b></div><div><br></div><div>We hear in this appeal from Paul to the Believers in Philippi, an echo or a continuation of the prayer of Jesus, <i>“(Father),…&nbsp;I do not pray for these only, but for those who believe in me through their word,&nbsp;that they may all&nbsp;be one; even as thou, Father art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”</i>&nbsp;(John 17;20&amp;21)</div><div><br></div><div>Paul bases his appeal on what may be called, “An Argument from the&nbsp;<span>Obvious.</span><span>”</span><span>&nbsp;</span></div><div>Meaning, ‘<b><u>I</u></b><u>f,</u>&nbsp;something&nbsp;is at all&nbsp;true;&nbsp;<u>Then,</u>&nbsp;&nbsp;<u>do this!”</u>&nbsp; &nbsp;To illustrate: &nbsp;“<u>If,</u>&nbsp;there is any remote possibility that somewhere in Michigan it may rain in the next six months, <u>Then,</u>&nbsp;carry an umbrella with you always.” &nbsp;The logic is: ‘If something is obviously true and&nbsp;unavoidable, therefore,&nbsp;certain actions must&nbsp;be taken.’</div><div><br>&nbsp;The faith God has gifted into us tells us it is beyond all&nbsp;doubt that there most assuredly <i>is</i><b>&nbsp;</b>abundant&nbsp;immeasurable, <i>“Encouragement <u>in</u>&nbsp;Christ,&nbsp;His own&nbsp;love which inspires, Life&nbsp;by&nbsp;the Holy Spirit, Heaven’s own&nbsp;affection and sympathy”. </i>(All these we have seen by faith; we see them&nbsp;in the bloody scourge, the&nbsp;rough&nbsp;cross, the dark&nbsp;empty tomb, the nail and spear marks, and&nbsp;the blood and water which flowed from his side. &nbsp;All of&nbsp;these things our eyes of faith&nbsp;see even now.)</div><div><br></div><div>Therefore, the Body of Christ, the Church must be of (from)&nbsp;“One Mind,” united in&nbsp;the Mind of Christ, submitted to the authority of God’s Word and the Father’s Will, this is&nbsp;the Mind of The Servant Jesus our Lord.</div><div><br></div><div>God through&nbsp;Paul, is&nbsp;appealing for the Church to be in her “Right Mind.” &nbsp;We are by faith&nbsp;to be partaking of the Divine Nature, walking by the Spirit, doing the Father’s will. &nbsp;There is no place for disharmony or disunity in the Body of Christ, no place for selfishness or self-serving. &nbsp;As Christ came not to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many, so now are we to be sacrificially loving and serving one another, forbearing and forgiving one another. &nbsp;If we do&nbsp;not, then,&nbsp;we are in a state of spiritual insanity, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us; from this, preserve us Heavenly Father.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;O most merciful Heavenly Father, as certainly as you have given&nbsp;us&nbsp;hearts that&nbsp;beat, bless them to beat repentantly, and as assuredly as we have received&nbsp;lungs that&nbsp;breathe, bless them to&nbsp;breathe Your&nbsp;own&nbsp;divine breath,&nbsp;the Holy Spirit.&nbsp;You have joined us&nbsp;in Christ’s&nbsp;death to sin and raised us in his resurrection to eternal life, so now teach us that our joy is completed as we&nbsp;deny ourselves, carry our crosses, and follow the sacrificial Servant,&nbsp;Jesus in Your own&nbsp;love for us. &nbsp;We pray in Jesus, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we are His.”</div><div><br></div><div><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>

Prayer:  O most merciful Heavenly Father, as certainly as you have given us hearts that beat, bless them to beat repentantly, and as assuredly as we have received lungs that breathe, bless them to breathe Your own divine breath, the Holy Spirit. You have joined us in Christ’s death to sin and raised us in his resurrection to eternal life, so now teach us that our joy is completed as we deny ourselves, carry our crosses, and follow the sacrificial Servant, Jesus in Your own love for us.  We pray in Jesus, Amen.
