<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Mark 1;43-45<div><br></div><div><b>43. &nbsp;And he </b>(Jesus) <b>sternly charged him </b>(the leper now cleansed), <b>and sent him away at once,</b></div><div><b></b><b>44. &nbsp;and said to him, “See that you say nothing to any one; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer for yourself what Moses commanded, for a proof to the people.”</b></div><div><b>45. &nbsp;But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in the country; and people came to him from every quarter.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>“A healed person can be worse off than when they we sick.”</div><div><br></div><div>Our God desires to cleanse us in all&nbsp;ways, body, mind, soul, and spirit. &nbsp;Then he desires to unite with us and make us one with Him and each other.</div><div><br></div><div>But sinners, true to their sin nature, do not seek inward purity or perfect unity. &nbsp;All that sinners care about is the own individual&nbsp;flesh, the outward man. &nbsp;&nbsp;Sinners actively seek to remain their own independent self-rulers. &nbsp;They do not seek to surrender their will, their carnal freedom to another. &nbsp;For sinners such a thing amounts to slavery.</div><div><br></div><div>But Jesus said, <i>“You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. &nbsp;It shall not be so among you; but whoever would be great among you must be your <u>servant</u>, and whoever would be first among you must be your <u>slave</u>&nbsp;even as the Son of man came not to be served but to serve,&nbsp;and to give his life as a ransom for many.” &nbsp;</i>(Matthew 20;25-28)</div><div><br></div><div>The greatest need which we all have is for forgiveness, not physical healing. &nbsp;Too many people seek Christ for the wrong reason. &nbsp;This is why Jesus tells some of those whom he heals physically to not talk about it. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Jesus in his compassion cares for us totally, body and soul, but it is our soul which has the greater need. &nbsp;The physical healing of the world is already promised in the resurrection of the dead. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Before he was healed, the leper was content to remain a leper (if that was Christ’s will), but after he was healed, he regressed into a fleshly man who was willful to the point of disobeying the will of Jesus. &nbsp;The leper was worse off than before! &nbsp;Before, his will was humbled, trusting, and submitted to Christ. &nbsp;After he was healed, his sin nature was strengthened to the point that he disobeyed Jesus. &nbsp;He was sicker than ever.</div><div><br></div><div>Healings are worthless if they do not lead to obedience. &nbsp;Healthy bodies with stubborn, disobedient, rebellious&nbsp;wills, are doomed. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>The testimony of the leper did not lead people to seek out Jesus for forgiveness and healing&nbsp;of the soul, but only for the soundness of the flesh. &nbsp;It is like a person buying new clothes while they remain filthy and infected with disease. &nbsp;Sadly, many only want Christ in their lives for this very selfish reason,</div><div>selfishness!</div><div><br></div><div>True healing of the inner man results in an&nbsp;obedient spirit<span>&nbsp;which&nbsp;seeks to point sinners to their Savior.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Notice how Jesus commands us, <i>“… teaching them to <u>obey</u>, all what-so-ever I command you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.” &nbsp;</i>(Matthew 28;20)<u></u></span></div><div><span><i>“Behold, to <u>obey</u>&nbsp;is better than sacrifice”. </i>(1 Samuel 15;22)</span></div><div><i>“Through </i>(Christ) <i>we have received grace and apostleship to bring about <u>the obedience of&nbsp;faith</u>&nbsp;for the sake of his name among the nations, including <u>yourselves who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.”</u></i><u></u></div><div>(Romans 1;5-7)</div><div><br></div><div>To, <i>“belong to Jesus Christ”</i>&nbsp;is as his obedient&nbsp;wife and humble trusting&nbsp;servant, no longer independent willful beings, but utterly dependent on him for everything.&nbsp;&nbsp;No longer serving&nbsp;our own will, but the will of him who loved, died, and rose again for us. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>There is <u>never</u>&nbsp;a good time or excuse for disobedience to God’s will, ever, no matter what.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, make us to not be like the disobedient&nbsp;leper once he was healed. &nbsp;You have given us the Mind of Christ so that we do your will, not our own. &nbsp;Bless us know true life and health belong to your will not ours. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we are His.”<br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>

Prayer:  Merciful Father, make us to not be like the disobedient leper once he was healed.  You have given us the Mind of Christ so that we do your will, not our own.  Bless us know true life and health belong to your will not ours.  In Jesus we pray, Amen.
