<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Mark 2;18-20<div><br></div><div><b>18. &nbsp;Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting; &nbsp;and people came and said to him, “Why do John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?”</b></div><div><b>19. &nbsp;And Jesus said to them, “”Can the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them? &nbsp;As long as they have the&nbsp;bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.</b></div><div><b>20. &nbsp;The days will come, when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast in that day.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>God is not seeking to only forgive our sin and cleanse us of our uncleanness. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Remember, Paul teaches us, <i>“We have this treasure in earthen vessels”.</i>&nbsp; (2 Corinthians 4;7)</div><div><br></div><div>You don’t wash and purify a vessel, only to leave it empty on a shelf, only to take it down to wash and purify it again, and again leave it empty. &nbsp;No, you fill it.</div><div><br></div><div>We are the Bride of Christ, cleansed to be filled with Christ himself by the Holy Spirit.</div><div><br></div><div>Remember, Jesus first miracle was the Wedding at Cana. &nbsp;He chose that so that we might recognize the purpose of His incarnation and atoning blood&nbsp;sacrifice was to cleanse and purchase his Bride the Church, us!</div><div><br></div><div>Marriage is <i>“the two become one” </i>(Genesis 2;24). &nbsp;This is the plan of God, to fill us with Himself that we be One and holy.</div><div><br></div><div>His High Priestly Prayed right before he was arrested and crucified was, <i>“I in them and Thou </i>(Father)&nbsp;<i>in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that Thou hast loved them even as Thou hast loved me.” &nbsp;</i>(John 17;23)</div><div><br></div><div>Jesus is our Bridegroom, and we the Church is His Bride.</div><div><br></div><div>The fasting Jesus say his disciples would do was done in the days he was taken by death from us.</div><div>Whenever we fast, we are partaking of that sorrow, denying our flesh, grieving our sin which made that suffering and death necessary.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;O most merciful Heavenly Father, whose work is to restore us into perfect oneness with You and each other, grant us grace to share in the sufferings of Christ, that we may inherit the kingdom. &nbsp;Keep us in his Name, that we always know Who we belong to. &nbsp;Keep us in Your Word, that we ever have the Mind of our Bridegroom. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we are His.”<br><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>


Mark 2;18-20
