<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Mark 3;27<div><br></div><div><b>27. &nbsp;But no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man; then indeed he may plunder his house.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>The very same name, which <i>“proclaims release to the captives,</i><i>&nbsp;recovery of sight to the blind, and sets at liberty those who are oppressed.” &nbsp;</i><span>(Isaiah 61;1 and Luke 4;18) has the authority to <i>“bind Satan”.</i></span></div><div><span><i><br></i></span></div><div><span>It is the name of Jesus, the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, which the devil and his demons cannot resist. &nbsp;This name&nbsp;sets the prisoners free. &nbsp;Sinners need to <i>“Call upon the name of the Lord”</i>&nbsp;and be delivered from themselves and from the forces of darkness. &nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>We have been baptized into this name, we take our&nbsp;life from and&nbsp;in this name. In His name we are not only safe from the powers of darkness, but we are able to drive the powers of darkness out of our own lives as well as the lives of others. &nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>People open themselves up, literally inviting unclean spirits into themselves, as they dabble in the occult and indulge their own sinful,&nbsp;carnal passions and appetites. &nbsp;Things like&nbsp;drugs, alcohol, violence and intimidation, immorality, pornography, thievery, slander, anger and&nbsp;haters of authority all are easy prey for the devil, as well as all&nbsp;vanity and&nbsp;pride, these and much much more are the behaviors of the heart, mind, soul, and spirit which Satan exploits in his unholy war against God.&nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>&nbsp;Money is not the root of all evil, it is the love of money. &nbsp;People who delight in being honored and praised, people who lust after control of others and power to rule others in their pride, are walking invitations to Satan to take full possession of them. &nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>When I look at the faces of some in authority today, their own tormented souls are on display. &nbsp;We must pray for those in authority, that they be delivered from their prisons and set free to serve Christ Jesus. &nbsp;Demonic forces delight to control those who refuse the will of God in their lives.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>To be ‘in Christ’ is to love justice and to hunger and thirst after righteousness, it is to find the delight the Father has for us in His Word of Life, and it is to delight in the holy fear of the Lord. &nbsp;This means to fear disobeying his will. &nbsp;The fear of the Lord,&nbsp;is another way of saying, ‘I never want to make the one who loves me and whom I love sad. &nbsp;I delight to please Him.’</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>The binding of Satan begins and ends with the name of Jesus, and the new life he gives to all who confess their sins and call upon his name for forgiveness. &nbsp;The binding of Satan delivers us into the heart and the Mind of Christ, the Mind of the Great Servant who saves us.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Deliverance from evil belongs to all who believe and are baptized. &nbsp;There is no place for unclean spirits in those who have been given the Holy Spirit. &nbsp;We receive the Holy Spirit in our baptism into Christ, we abide in Christ by the gift of repentance which He gives us. &nbsp;By His name, we walk in newness of life, loving His Word, and seeking to do His will, serving others,&nbsp;in the freedom He gives us.&nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Prayer: &nbsp;O most merciful Father, bless us to believe in and call upon the name of Jesus, that we be delivered from all temptation and evil. &nbsp;Comfort us to delight in serving others, that you be glorified.</span></div><div><span>In Jesus we pray, Amen.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Love,</span></div><div><span>Dad/Baba/Eric</span></div><div><span>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</span></div><div><span>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we are His.”</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
