<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Mark 3;28-30<div><br></div><div><b>28. &nbsp;“Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter;</b></div><div><b>29. &nbsp;but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never have forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”—</b></div><div><b>30. &nbsp;for they had said, “He has an unclean spirit.”</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>Please take time to meditate on these words, <i>“<u>all</u>&nbsp;sins and blasphemy&nbsp;will be forgiven, (except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit)”</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div>All sin is rebellion against God. &nbsp;To sin is to serve Satan. &nbsp;<i>“The wages of sin is death.” &nbsp;</i>(Romans 6;23)</div><div>All humanity is born spiritually dead, we are born into Satan’s rebellion against God.</div><div><br></div><div>Yet, the power of the blood and sacrifice&nbsp;of Jesus <u>and</u>&nbsp;his resurrection, far surpasses all&nbsp;the powers of Hell and Death. &nbsp;The blood of Jesus,&nbsp;(freely offered us&nbsp;in Holy Communion), cleanses us from all sin, AND imparts the Life of Christ into us. &nbsp;For, <i>“the Life of the flesh&nbsp;is in the blood.” &nbsp;</i>(Leviticus 17;11)</div><div>(Remember, not only has our soul been redeemed, but our flesh as well,&nbsp;&nbsp;even though the flesh still must&nbsp;suffer the death our sin brings with it. &nbsp;It is in dying&nbsp;with Christ to sin in baptism that&nbsp;we are set free to live in Christ.)</div><div><br></div><div>Some of us consider our sin so great, we struggle to believe&nbsp;we could ever&nbsp;be forgiven, but the greatness of Christ’s death and resurrection far exceeds our own&nbsp;wickedness and sin no matter how terrible. &nbsp;<span>The gift of faith (which&nbsp;</span><span>God has given us),</span><span> has power to fully embrace the complete truth of these words of promise to us in Jesus, the crucified and risen Lord, the Holy One of God, True&nbsp;God and true man.</span></div><div><br></div><div>But, if we blaspheme the Holy Spirit, and accuse Jesus of being a servant of Satan, we are doomed to Hell forever. &nbsp;There is no forgiveness for those who defile the name and work of Jesus in their hearts and with their lips.&nbsp;To do so is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit, whose work it is to reveal to our hearts who Jesus truly is.</div><div><br></div><div>This is why Martin Luther in the Small Catechism (Daily Prayers)&nbsp;taught us to begin each day with the making of the&nbsp;sign of the cross, and&nbsp;the saying (aloud with our lips)<span></span>&nbsp;the&nbsp;Apostles Creed&nbsp;and the Lord’s Prayer<span>. &nbsp;In the Creed we rightly confess who Jesus is. &nbsp;If you can confess the Apostles Creed in your heart and with your lips, you are not guilty of the unforgivable sin.</span></div><div><i><br></i></div><div>As you do this, you are beginning the day as a ‘deadly’&nbsp;warrior for Christ, fully aware of the spiritual warfare which is&nbsp;still raging. &nbsp;You are alert, you have ‘spiritual situational awareness’, the ‘thousand yard stare’ which&nbsp;all&nbsp;combat&nbsp;veterans&nbsp;develop. &nbsp;Satan fears those who can bind him with the name of Jesus the Christ. &nbsp;He fears&nbsp;those who can front him with the shield of faith, who can wield the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God.</div><div><br></div><div>Task: &nbsp;Look up the Apostles Creed, print it out by hand, memorize it. &nbsp;Read Matin Luther’s Small Catechism which teaches the meaning to all three parts (articles) of the Creed. &nbsp;Memorize all three meanings to the three Articles too. &nbsp;(This is Basic Training stuff, needed before we go to war.)</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;O most merciful Heavenly Father, we praise you for the power of Your Word of Truth and the power of the name of Jesus, it makes the devils flee. &nbsp;Bless us to train our hearts and minds to use the armor and&nbsp;weapon&nbsp;You have given us. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation and we are His.”</div><div><i></i><i><br></i><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
