<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Mark 4;24&amp;25<div><br></div><div><b>24. &nbsp;And he said to them, “Take heed what you hear; the measure you give will be the measure you get, and still more will be given you.</b></div><div><b>25. &nbsp;For to him who has will more be given; and from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>These words of Jesus are mysterious and simple all at the same time. &nbsp;They are almost a riddle, but are simple to understand if you know <i>“what” </i>you are hearing.</div><div><br></div><div><i>“What” </i>Jesus gives us, is his own life, through the word He speaks into us. &nbsp;The life of Christ given into us is purposed to go on giving life. &nbsp;Life begets life. &nbsp;This Word of Life is giving us repentance,&nbsp;the forgiveness of sin, faith, and the Holy Spirit, BUT, all these are not to ‘end’ with us, they are to flow through us into this world, making disciples of others. &nbsp;The Word of Life is given to&nbsp;us so that we would give it to others.</div><div><br></div><div>Believers must be givers. &nbsp;Like a lake into which a river&nbsp;flows. &nbsp;If there is no outlet, the lake becomes the Dead Sea. &nbsp;If the lake has an outlet, it is passing on the life which&nbsp;has been given into it. &nbsp;This is why being a disciple requires us to be disciple makers. &nbsp;If we are not seeking to give into others the life which has been given into us, we are spiritually dead.</div><div><br></div><div>People who go to church to hear the Word and receive Holy Communion are doomed if the are not laboring to pass that forgiveness and life on to others. &nbsp;We do not go to church to just receive, we go to receive SO THAT WE CAN GIVE! &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Give what? &nbsp;<u>Everything</u>&nbsp;God&nbsp;has&nbsp;given to us.<br><br>We must not be content to receive the Life of Christ through the Word. &nbsp;We MUST labor to pass that Word of Life in Christ along to others. &nbsp;This is the real purpose of our lives. &nbsp;This kind of ‘outflow’ begins in our homes, with our families.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, deliver us from being content to just be receivers of Life. &nbsp;The Life you give into us yearns to give more Life to others. &nbsp;If we resist our calling, we stagnate and die spiritually. &nbsp;Grant us courage to use the gifts You have given us to give out the Word of life. &nbsp;Make us careful what we hear. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we are His.”</div><div><br></div><div><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
