<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div><div><br></div>Mark 5;35&amp;36<div><br></div><div><b>35. &nbsp;While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler’s house some one who said, “Your daughter is dead. &nbsp;Why trouble the Teacher any further?”</b></div><div><b>36. &nbsp;But ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.”</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>Jesus had been delayed in going to the house of Jairus by the woman with the issue of blood. &nbsp;</div><div>When Mary and Martha sent a messenger to Jesus that their brother Lazarus was sick, saying, <i>“Lord, he whom you love is ill” </i>again, Jesus delayed to come for two whole days. &nbsp;(By the time Jesus got to Bethany where Mary and Martha lived, their brother had been in the tomb four days.)</div><div><br></div><div>Delays in time cause us great anxiety, (Just try driving an honest 55mph on a narrow winding&nbsp;two lane road for any distance, and see&nbsp;what sort of looks and ‘sign-language’ are given you once they can finally pass you by!)&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Yet, scripture commends <i>“those who wait upon the Lord”. &nbsp;</i>Like Miracle Max says in the Princess Bride,&nbsp;</div><div>(when he is told, ‘Sir, we are in a terrible rush’), “<i>Don’t rush me Sonny. &nbsp;You rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles.”</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div>Consider just what the greatest miracle is…it is&nbsp;not healing, but the miracle of God giving us faith in the face of death. &nbsp;Faith which know that, <i>“Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor, height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God <u>in Christ Jesus.”</u></i></div><div><i><u><br></u></i></div><div>Even Jesus had to wait three days in the tomb! &nbsp;God’s delays in our lives are <u>never unintended</u>!<span></span></div><div>They are given us as gifts, to put to death the ‘deeds of the body’, (our desire to direct God, to sit on His throne and run the world).</div><div><br></div><div>All delay is also from God, His timing is perfect in everything. &nbsp;Humble faith embraces all delay with thanksgiving,&nbsp;patience, and loving trust in our Heavenly Father’s perfect plan for our lives. &nbsp;Everything happens at the right time. &nbsp;Even death cannot stop God’s good plans for us!</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, forgive us for our impatience and fear. &nbsp;Fill us with the quietness of the tomb of Jesus and the rest of death You give us in our baptism into Christ. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living&nbsp;Word of God. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation and we are His.”&nbsp;</div><div><i><br></i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
