<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Mark 10;1-9<div><br></div><div><b>1. &nbsp;And he left there and went to the region of Judea and beyond the Jordan, and crowds gathered to him again, as his custom was, he taught them.</b></div><div><b>2. &nbsp;And Pharisees came up and&nbsp;in order to test him asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”</b></div><div><b>3. &nbsp;He answered them, “What did Moses command you?”</b></div><div><b>4. &nbsp;They said, “Moses allowed a man to write a certificate of divorce, and to put her away.”</b></div><div><b>5. &nbsp;But Jesus said to them, “For your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.</b></div><div><b>6. &nbsp;But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’</b></div><div><b>7. &nbsp;‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,</b></div><div><b>8. &nbsp;and the two shall become one.’ &nbsp;So they are no longer two but one.</b></div><div><b>9. &nbsp;What therefore&nbsp;God has joined together, let not man put asunder.”</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>Once a man and a woman enter into marriage, they enter into a sacred and holy vow. &nbsp;Such a vow is transformational. &nbsp;Whereas before marriage they were two separate beings, but in marriage they become a <u>new being,</u>&nbsp;the two have become one new creation of God.</div><div><br></div><div>&nbsp;&nbsp;It is God who is working through their vow to each other, who is making them one, a new creation of God. &nbsp;Therefore, marriage is not something just two humans&nbsp;decide to do. &nbsp;Marriage is the activity of three persons, the Bride Groom, the Bride, and our triune&nbsp;God Himself. &nbsp;The Bride Groom&nbsp;‘leaves and cleaves’, the Bride ‘receives his vow and gives her own back to him’,&nbsp;<span>God, by His mercy, grace, and power then does a true miracle, He&nbsp;joins them together&nbsp;as one new being.</span></div><div><br></div><div>If you take two measures of flour, mix it with water, and bake it, it is no longer two measures of flour, but has become something new, life giving bread. &nbsp;Can that loaf of bread become two measures of flour again? &nbsp;It cannot, God has made it something new. &nbsp;Trying to crush and grind that loaf of bread back into flour and separate it again into the same two measures of flour&nbsp;is impossible.</div><div><br></div><div>Therefore, Jesus is teaching that&nbsp;divorce,&nbsp;(which tries to&nbsp;separate&nbsp;and restores&nbsp;two individual&nbsp;people, so that each of them&nbsp;are just themselves again)&nbsp;is impossible. &nbsp;The elements have been co-mingled by God working through their vow.</div><div><br></div><div>Further,&nbsp;Jesus&nbsp;says, <i>“Whoever divorces his wife,&nbsp;except for the cause of unchastity, and marries another, commits adultery.” &nbsp;</i>(Matthew 19;9)<u></u></div><div><br></div><div>What Jesus means is, if one person in a marriage sexually joins themselves to anyone else, they themselves have broken the divine union of marriage. &nbsp;they are guilty of unfaithfulness, having brought a third person into the union which&nbsp;God blessed. &nbsp;The vow itself is broken, the ‘loaf is crushed’&nbsp;a third element has been added, it is no longer what God created. &nbsp;The guilty person has&nbsp;sinned against God and their vow of faithfulness to their wife or husband. &nbsp;In such a case, Jesus says divorce is allowed&nbsp;to legally and publicly proclaim that brokenness, and to protect the innocent person from being polluted with a third person. &nbsp;Marriage as God created it, is to be between two, not three persons.</div><div><br></div><div>If the guilty person is brought to true repentance and seeks forgiveness, the other innocent person must forgive them, but they are not obligated to take them back as husband or wife, because they are no longer who they once were. &nbsp;The guilty person has been mingled with a different person, so that they are not the same person they once were. &nbsp;The innocent person is not obligated to take them back&nbsp;because that person no longer exists, the&nbsp;one who sinned is&nbsp;different. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>The innocent person has the freedom to be joined again to their old husband or wife, but it is also the right of the innocent person to say by divorce, ‘You are no longer who you once were, you are not who I first joined myself to and therefore, I no longer believe God wants me to be joined again to you.’</div><div><br></div><div>As servants of God and children of God we seek always only to do His will. &nbsp;In many cases, true repentance on the part of the guilty person who has sincerely confessed their sin, seeking God’s forgiving newness, serves to give hope to the innocent person to not only forgive their guilty spouse, but also be rejoined to them again in a new marriage, but only under the grace of God. &nbsp;Without true repentance, true&nbsp;change, it is unwise to be rejoined in marriage again.</div><div><br></div><div>Marriage between two men, or two women is a spiritual impossibility, for God created them male and female so that they may be fruitful and multiply, if God wills it and&nbsp;blesses them with children. &nbsp;It is impossible for two men or two women to ever bear children themselves. &nbsp;Any attempt to claim homosexuals can also become one<span>&nbsp;in vows of marriage, is a false teacher,&nbsp;a servant of the one who from the beginning was a liar</span><span>&nbsp;and a murderer.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father in Heaven, we praise you for the miracle of Oneness, which You create in the vows of holy marriage. &nbsp;Grant us wisdom to see ourselves as One with Jesus our Bridegroom, and we the church of all true Believers truly made one together in Him. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.&nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span><i>“God’s plan for the fulness of time is to unite all things together in Christ, things in heaven and things on earth.” &nbsp;</i>(Ephesians 1;10)</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Love,</span></div><div><span>Dad/Baba/Eric</span></div><div><span>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</span></div><div><span>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we are His.”</span></div><div><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
