<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Mark 10;41-45<div><br></div><div><b>41. &nbsp;And when the disciples heard it, </b>(that James and John wanted to sit on Jesus’ right and left hand in the coming kingdom) <b>they began to be indignant at James and John.</b></div><div><b></b><b>42. &nbsp;And Jesus called them to himself and said to them, &nbsp;“You know that those who are supposed to rule over the Gentiles, lord it over them, and their great&nbsp;men exercise authority over them.</b></div><div><b>43. &nbsp;But it shall not be so among you; but whoever would be great among you must be your servant,</b></div><div><b>44. &nbsp;and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all.</b></div><div><b>45. &nbsp;For the son of man also came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”</b></div><div><b><br></b></div>When we were baptized <u>into Christ,</u>&nbsp;(Romans 6;3) we were baptized into the greatest servant/slave of all human history and&nbsp;in all Creation.<div><br></div><div>To walk by the Spirit, is to walk by faith <u>in Christ</u>&nbsp;as God’s servants, serving the will of the Father, (which means loving our neighbor as ourselves).</div><div><br></div><div>Be not deceived, loving others as ourselves means we will suffer with Christ. &nbsp;There is a price to love, it is to suffer loss. &nbsp;For in loving our neighbor, Jesus is commanding us to love those who will abuse us and take advantage of us. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Jesus said, <i>“Do not resist one who is evil. &nbsp;But if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also; and if anyone would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak as well; and if anyone forces you to go&nbsp;one mile, go with him two miles. &nbsp;Give to him who begs from you, and do not refuse him who would borrow from you. &nbsp;You have heard it said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ &nbsp;But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. &nbsp;For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? &nbsp;Do not even the tax collectors do the same? &nbsp;And if you salute only your brethren, what more are you doing than others? &nbsp;Do not even the Gentiles do the same? &nbsp;You therefore must be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.”</i></div><div>(Matthew 5;39-48)</div><div><br></div><div>Our Father in heaven <u>has</u><i>&nbsp;</i>made us<i>&nbsp;“perfect”</i>&nbsp;by our baptism into Christ. &nbsp;It is the will of our Lord Jesus, that this perfection be seen before men. &nbsp;This we cannot do in human power, or by strength of will, BUT, <i>“I can do all things in Him who strengthens me.” &nbsp;</i>(Philippians 4;13)<i>&nbsp;</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div><span>Our faith in Jesus is to not just believe that He is risen from the dead, and ascended into heaven, but that he ascended to the place of all power SO THAT, <i>“He might f</i><i>ill all things” </i>(Ephesians 4;10) especially us, His Bride the Church.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, You <i>“desire all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”</i></span></div><div><span>(1 Timothy 2;4). &nbsp;We know Jesus <i>is</i>&nbsp;the “<i>Truth” </i>and that You have given Him into this world, AND into us,&nbsp;that men may see that through Christ, You transform us, You indwell us, You give us new birth into newness of Life.</span></div><div><span>Bless us dear Father that we would indeed, “<i>Let (y)our Light so shine before men, that they may see (y)our good works, and give glory to (y)our Father who is&nbsp;in heaven.” &nbsp;</i>(Matthew 5;16)</span></div><div><span>Bless us to so&nbsp;live in Christ, (the servant/slave of <u>all</u>)&nbsp;as He lives in us.&nbsp; In Jesus we pray, Amen.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Love,</span></div><div><span>Dad/Baba/Eric</span></div><div><span>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</span></div><div><span>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word.
