<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Mark 15;12-15<div><br></div><div><b>12. &nbsp;And Pilate&nbsp;again said to them, “Then what shall I do with the man whom you call the King of the Jews?”&nbsp;</b></div><div><b>13. &nbsp;And they cried out again, “Crucify him.”</b></div><div><b>14. &nbsp;And pilot said to them, “Why, what evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Crucify him.”</b></div><div><b>15. &nbsp;So Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released for them, Barabbas; and having scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>We are all Pontius Pilate, we must all answer the ‘question’, <i>“What shall I do with the man whom you call the King of the Jews?”</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div>Pilate knew Jesus was innocent. &nbsp;He did not deserve to be killed. His impulse was to declare Jesus&nbsp;innocent, not kill him. &nbsp;But, Pilate’s flesh served a different unclean&nbsp;authority.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Pilate was governing the Jewish&nbsp;territory of Judea as a servant of&nbsp;the&nbsp;violent evil&nbsp;occupier Rome, Just as we (according to our selfish sin-nature),&nbsp;occupy and rule&nbsp;these bodies (which rightly belong&nbsp;to&nbsp;<span>God), as servants of Satan.&nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><i>“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? &nbsp;You are not your own; you were bought with a price.&nbsp;&nbsp;So glorify God with your bodies.”&nbsp;</i><span>&nbsp;(! Mark 15;12-15

Prayer:  Merciful Father, by Your Word and Spirit, and by the gift of faith which You have given us, bless us to renounce our loyalty to the ‘evil one’ (whose kingdom still occupies our flesh by the sin-nature.)  No matter the cost.  In Jesus we pray, Amen
