<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Romans 1;1&amp;2<div><br></div><div><b>1. &nbsp;Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God</b></div><div><b>2. &nbsp;which he promised beforehand through his prophets&nbsp;in the holy scriptures,<br></b><br>The term <i>‘apostle’ </i>means, ‘one who is sent’. &nbsp;In that respect, we are all apostles and servants of Jesus&nbsp;Christ, for the command to <i>“Go, make disciples, baptize, and teach”</i>&nbsp; is given&nbsp;to all&nbsp;Believers. We carry out that command corporately at members of Christ’s body, the Church. &nbsp;We also carry out that command as we intentionally study and ‘abide in’&nbsp;God’s Word,&nbsp;and teach it to others, especially our own&nbsp;families. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>As Christ’s sent ones, we are to be discipling&nbsp;ourselves, not simply being baptized students of God’s Word, but servants of God who have been given the Mind of Christ, meaning the desire to do the Father’s will in everything continually. &nbsp;We are called to live for the praise of His Glory.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Biblically, the term ‘Apostle’ (capital ‘A’) is reserved for those whom Jesus called personally to be His followers, trained to be fishers of men, AND who witnessed Jesus’ bodily resurrected from the dead. &nbsp;This term applies also to Paul, &nbsp;(he too saw Jesus alive on the road to Damascus). &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Speaking of Paul, the Lord says, “<i>He is a&nbsp;chosen instrument of Mine to carry My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; for I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.”</i></div><div>(Acts 9;15&amp;16)</div><div><br></div><div>As members of the Body of Christ, the Church, we are all <i>‘a chosen instrument’.</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div>The purpose of the Church is to <i>“manifest the wisdom of God, making it known to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.” &nbsp;</i>(Ephesians 3;10)</div><div><br></div><div>We are not only messengers, ‘sent ones’ to all nations, we are also messengers to the unclean spiritual world. &nbsp;We are called to reveal to Satan, all the demons, and the whole of humanity, how God in His mercy and love makes it possible for us to ‘rightly be in the place of God’ through our baptism <u>into Christ.</u></div><div><u><br></u></div><div>Satan sought to destroy God in Christ and take the throne&nbsp;of God. &nbsp;God reveals to Satan and to us that the way to holiness and glory is not through killing God, but through dying with Jesus&nbsp;and being joined with Him in our baptism into Him, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.</div><div><br></div><div>This divine work of God, God repeatedly foretold&nbsp;through the prophets in the holy scriptures. &nbsp;Christ and the Church are the fulfillment of this plan of God. &nbsp;We as ‘sent ones,’ members of Christ’s Body,&nbsp;participate in the ongoing saving work of God.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, we praise You for Your manifold wisdom, that true holiness and glory belong to those who die with Jesus, and who are raised with Him. &nbsp;True greatness is our as we in Christ understand that we with Paul are Your servants in Christ. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we are His.</div><div>&nbsp;<br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>


Romans 1;1&2
1.  Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God2.  which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy scriptures,
