<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Romans 3;13-18<div><br></div><div><b>13. “Their throat is an open grave, they use their tongues to deceive.” &nbsp;“The venom of asps is under their lips.”</b></div><div><b>14. &nbsp;“Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.”</b></div><div><b>15. &nbsp;“Their feet are swift to shed blood,</b></div><div><b>16. &nbsp; in their past are ruin&nbsp;and misery,</b><b>&nbsp;&nbsp;</b></div><div><b>17. &nbsp;and the way of Peace, they do not know.”</b></div><div><b>18. &nbsp;“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><span>These verses are&nbsp;descriptive of the whole of the human race.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>As Saint Paul says, “<i>For I know that <u>nothing</u>&nbsp;good dwells in me, that is my flesh. &nbsp;I can will what is right,&nbsp;</i></span></div><div><span><i>but <u>I cannot</u>&nbsp;do it.” &nbsp;</i>(Romans 7;18)</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>The only way that goodness and the&nbsp;clean&nbsp;fear of God, (see, Psalm 19;9) can dwell in us, and be a part of us, is as we through faith&nbsp;have Christ by the Spirit dwelling in us.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, we praise you that you have given us the death of Christ, whereby we as born-anew children of God&nbsp;in Christ by the Spirit, are able to <i>“put to death the deeds of the body.” &nbsp;</i>(Romans 8;13). Romans 3;13-18
13. “Their throat is an open grave, they use their tongues to deceive.”  “The venom of asps is under their lips.”14.  “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.”15.  “Their feet are swift to shed blood,16.   in their past are ruin and misery,  17.  and the way of Peace, they do not know.”18.  “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
These verses are descriptive of the whole of the human race.
As Saint Paul says, “For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is my flesh.  I can will what is right, but I cannot do it.”  (Romans 7;18)
The only way that goodness and the clean fear of God, (see, Psalm 19;9) can dwell in us, and be a part of us, is as we through faith have Christ by the Spirit dwelling in us.
