<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Romans 3;29-31<div><br></div><div><b>29. &nbsp;Or is God the God of Jews only? &nbsp;Is he not the God of the Gentiles also? &nbsp;Yes, of Gentiles also,</b></div><div><b>30. &nbsp;since God is one; and he will justify the circumcised on the ground of their faith and the uncircumcised through their faith.</b></div><div><b>31. &nbsp;Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? &nbsp;By no means! &nbsp;On the contrary, we uphold the law.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>Our flesh in its’ natural created state, (whether we are Jews or Gentiles) cannot keep the law perfectly.</div><div>Remember, Jesus said,<i>“You, therefore, <u>must be perfect,</u>&nbsp;as your Heavenly Father is perfect.”&nbsp;</i><span>(Matthew 5;48)</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Only Jesus perfectly&nbsp;kept the law, the perfect will of God. &nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>By the gift of faith in Jesus Christ, we are circumcised in our hearts. &nbsp;We die to the flesh, we have had our trust in our flesh&nbsp;‘cut off.’&nbsp; All&nbsp;our human efforts to keep the law are forsaken. &nbsp;Through repentance and faith, our trust is now in what Christ alone&nbsp;has done, His perfect obedience to the Father’s will. &nbsp;Jesus,&nbsp;His life, death, and resurrection has become our perfection, our&nbsp;trust, our hope, our joy, and&nbsp;our treasure.&nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>The law of God stands beautifully,&nbsp;perfectly fulfilled in Christ Jesus, and we in Christ also&nbsp;stand in that beauty and&nbsp;perfect self-denying obedience. &nbsp;In Christ we <u>are</u>&nbsp;righteous, justified, keepers of the law.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Our hearts are circumcised, no longer trusting in the flesh or looking to the flesh for comfort or strength or protection. &nbsp;We have ‘exposed ourselves’ in an honest confession that we are law breakers who deserve eternal damnation. &nbsp;Yet, by God’s loving grace, by the working of the Holy Spirit through the Word, we now in faith confess that&nbsp;our trust is&nbsp;in Christ Jesus who alone suffered eternal damnation in our place&nbsp;on the cross.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Jesus is the ‘Great Circumcision’ He was ‘cut off’ from His Father, forsaken for us. Romans 3;29-31

Our flesh in its’ natural created state, (whether we are Jews or Gentiles) cannot keep the law perfectly.Remember, Jesus said,“You, therefore, must be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matthew 5;48)
