<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Romans 4;15-17<div><br></div><div><b>15. &nbsp;For the law brings wrath, but where there is no law there is no transgression.</b></div><div><b>16. &nbsp;That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his descendants— not only to the adherence of the law, but also to those who share the faith of Abraham, for he is the father of us all,</b></div><div><b>17. &nbsp;as it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations”— in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence, the things that do not exist.</b></div><div><br></div><div>There is no law within the Promise. &nbsp;It is all grace. &nbsp;It is all God’s doing, <i>“there is no law there is no transgression.” &nbsp; </i>This confirms that the Promise of the Gospel is pure grace. &nbsp;There is no wrath connected to the Promise of the&nbsp;Gospel, wrath comes as a result of transgression of the law. &nbsp;The Promise is God’s own&nbsp;divine gift to us, Christ’s&nbsp;the fulfillment of the law for us,&nbsp;bringing us only life, peace, and joy.</div><div><br></div><div>How then do we understand our sufferings, if there is no wrath in the Promise? &nbsp;It is because we now are in the safety of the Ark of God, the Promise,&nbsp;carrying us upon the raging waters flooding this world. &nbsp;It is our enemies the devil, this world, and our own flesh who are&nbsp;hating our forgiven souls, and the God who has&nbsp;cleansed us to be His dwelling place. &nbsp;Our enemies seek to make shipwreck of the gift of faith at work&nbsp;in us.</div><div><br></div><div>But, the greatness of our God has promised to <i>“work good”</i>&nbsp;out&nbsp;of&nbsp;our sufferings. &nbsp;(see, Romans 8;28&amp;29)</div><div><br></div><div>As Jesus said, <i>“If the world hates you, know that it hated Me before it hated you.” &nbsp;</i>(John 15;18)</div><div>The term <i>‘world’ &nbsp;</i>as used by Jesus&nbsp;here,&nbsp;encompasses all three of our enemies. &nbsp;This is such a comforting Word to us because it teaches us that we are in Christ and Christ is in us!</div><div><br></div><div>Abraham’s fatherhood of <i>“many nations” </i>is not apart from God, but rather <u>in His presence!</u>&nbsp; In other words, Faith at work in us who believe the Promise, assures us that God <u>is</u>&nbsp;with us. &nbsp;He is not only giving us forgiveness, and&nbsp;cleansing us, God is giving us His own living, indwelling&nbsp;presence, He is&nbsp;with us and in us!<br><br><br>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, bless us now to rejoice in Your presence and in our sufferings,&nbsp;bless us to see the law now as only&nbsp;a reflection of the Holy One, Jesus, Whom you are now joyfully&nbsp;conforming us to. &nbsp;In Jesus we praise you, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric</div><div>Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we are His.”</div><div><br></div><div><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
