<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Roman’s 6;3-5<div><br></div><div><b>3. &nbsp;Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?</b></div><div><b>4. &nbsp;We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.</b></div><div><b>5. &nbsp;For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><i>“Baptized <u>into Christ”</u>,</i>&nbsp;is not a metaphorical attempt to give us a reason to feebly&nbsp;try and&nbsp;change our way of living.</div><div>Being now <u>in Christ</u>&nbsp;is a metaphysical reality. &nbsp;Our souls and spirits have been, and&nbsp;are now, united as one with&nbsp;Jesus. &nbsp;We of ourselves do not change ourselves, we die with Jesus and are changed. &nbsp;We are given Jesus&nbsp;Himself for us to life in. &nbsp;We are born anew. &nbsp;We in Christ now&nbsp;have a love of holiness and a joy to do the Father’s will.&nbsp; In Christ we hate sin and trespassing.<i></i></div><div><br></div><div>How can this be?</div><div>This divine reality, this work of God,&nbsp;has&nbsp;caused&nbsp;us to time travel back to the Garden of Gethsemane&nbsp;and with Him deny ourselves. &nbsp;We are empowered by our baptism <u>into Christ</u>&nbsp;to pray from the heart with Jesus, ‘Not my will, but Thine be done.’ &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>We are with Jesus, nailed to His glorious cross. &nbsp;&nbsp;To be in&nbsp;Jesus, is to enter into the&nbsp;most blessed and wonderful&nbsp;death of all, death&nbsp;to sin.&nbsp;<i>“O death where is thy victory? &nbsp;O death, where is thy sting? &nbsp;The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. &nbsp;But thanks be to Gods, who gives us the victory <u>through our Lord Jesus Christ.”</u>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</i><span>(1 Corinthians 15;55-57)</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Christ’s death is God’s great gift to us. &nbsp;It opens the prison doors and set us free from slavery to sin. &nbsp;In Christ we have actual power&nbsp;to walk in/with Christ, by the Spirit, and&nbsp;by faith&nbsp;in Christ’s indwelling us. &nbsp;We live now as new forgiven children of God, in&nbsp;newness of life, denying ourselves, and living in the Mind of Christ. &nbsp;&nbsp;</span><span>He is the One, </span><i>“Who came down from heaven, not to do his own will, but the will of Him who sent Him.” &nbsp;(John 6;38)</i><span>&nbsp;</span><i>“We have been </i><span>(with Christ)&nbsp;</span><i>destined and appointed to live for the praise of </i><span>(His) </span><i>glory</i><i>.” &nbsp;</i><span>(Ephesians 1;12)</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>This meta-physical reality, (which already has been given to our souls and spirits)&nbsp;is also promised to our sin-sick flesh in the resurrection of the dead. &nbsp;The day is coming when we will be given glorified, immortal bodies, set free from the sin-nature which still inaffects&nbsp;the flesh. &nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Yet, even now, in&nbsp;our&nbsp;baptism into Christ, the will of God at work in us, (see, Philippians 2;13)&nbsp;is greater than our sin-nature. &nbsp;Christ indwelling us by the Holy Spirit, has, and continues to inspire us to holiness of living.<i></i></span></div><div><span>We no longer are trapped in these bodies of death. &nbsp;We do not have to continue in sin. &nbsp;We have been set free. &nbsp;(see, John 8;31-36)</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>This divine work of God is His&nbsp;great gift of change/deliverence, given us in baptism. &nbsp;We do not change ourselves, we&nbsp;believe we are no longer who we once were.&nbsp;&nbsp;Christ indwelling us is empowering us to&nbsp;</span><span>yield our members, (our bodies) to the will of the Father, to righteousness. &nbsp;This is what being <i>“born-anew” </i>means.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Prayer: Merciful, Wonderful Father, we praise You for the death to sin You have given us in our baptism into Christ. &nbsp;Bless us now to live in both our blessed baptismal death and the new life of Christ, Who now is indwelling us&nbsp;by the Holy Spirit. &nbsp;<u>In Jesus</u>&nbsp;we now pray, Amen.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span>Love,</span></div><div><span>Dad/Baba/Eric/Grandpa Pickle Pastor</span></div><div><span>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be changed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our dwelling place, and we, broken-hearted, contrite, forgiven, believing children, are His.”</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
