<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">(Dear friends in Christ, Tomorrow and this weekend will be very demanding for me.&nbsp; Therefore, I am sending in advance the next few commentary/devotions.&nbsp; GPP)</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div>Romans 6;12-14<div><br></div><div><b>12. &nbsp;Let not sin&nbsp;therefore reign&nbsp;in your mortal bodies, to make you obey their passions.</b></div><div><b>13. &nbsp;Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of wickedness, but yield yourselves to God&nbsp;as men who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments of righteousness.</b></div><div><b>14. &nbsp;For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law, but under grace.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>Clearly, we who are baptized into Christ, now have authority to refuse temptations to sin, and power to obey the will of God.</div><div><br></div><div>We now have God in Christ by the Holy Spirit at work in us. &nbsp;(see,&nbsp;Philippians 2;13)</div><div>God is creating good Godly desires in us to be righteous, refusing to yield to sin’s&nbsp;temptations AND empowering us to obey the will of God, doing good works to His glory.</div><div><br></div><div>Our bodies are meant to be as dead gloves on the hand of the living God, in Whom our true life is now hid.</div><div><br></div><div>The key word here is <i>“dominion” </i>meaning power and authority to rule or&nbsp;govern. &nbsp;God’s own dominion is by faith&nbsp;to be yielded to.&nbsp; Sin’s efforts to command us,&nbsp;are to be denied.</div><div><br></div><div>This is what Paul is exhorting us to do; <i>“walk by the Spirit.” &nbsp; </i>(Galatians 5;16)</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, grant that in Christ, by the Spirit we deny ourselves, take up our crosses, and follow Jesus. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric/Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we, broken-hearted, contrite, forgiven, believing children, are His.”</div><div><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>

Romans 6;12-14
