For just as you once yielded your members to impurity and to greater and greater iniquity, so now yield your members to righteousness for sanctification.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>There is a difference between your heart, (mind, will, and&nbsp;spirit)&nbsp;by faith&nbsp;becoming a slave to righteousness, and, getting your flesh to cooperate in this new slavery to righteousness.</div><div><br></div><div>This problem for Believers is beautifully explained in Romans 7;14-23.</div><div><br></div><div>The key point to be seen in ‘today’s’ (Saturday) passage is the term, “y<i>ield.”</i></div><div>This term means we have surrendered, given up our flesh, (our ‘members’), to another. &nbsp;They are no longer ‘ours.” &nbsp; Our members now belong to Christ. &nbsp;They are His dwelling place.</div><div><br></div><div>It is like ‘moving out’ of our home and handing the keys to Jesus. &nbsp;Our bodies are to belong to Him.</div><div><i>“I appeal to you brethren by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies to God, a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable, which is your spiritual worship. &nbsp;Do not be conformed to the image of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, that your may prove what is the will of God, what is good, and acceptable, and perfect.” &nbsp;</i>(Romans 12;1&amp;2)</div><div><br></div><div>Please note, all of us together are one in Christ. &nbsp;All our bodies together are one single living sacrifice, (not many individual sacrifices). &nbsp;(see, Jesus’ High Priestly prayer in John 17, where He prays that we be one in Him.)</div><div><br></div><div>To <i>“yield our members to righteousness and sanctification” </i>indicates that these things, (righteousness and sanctification) are already present in us by our baptism into Christ. &nbsp;These are not things we work to attain, these we already now have in Christ. &nbsp;Christian living is truly living <u>in Jesus.</u><i>&nbsp; </i>To <i>“yield” </i>is to willingly, joyfully present ourselves body and soul to the loving will of the Father. &nbsp;This is the Mind of Christ at work in us.</div><div><br></div><div>Holiness of life is in us already, because we are in Christ and He is in us. &nbsp;Faith embraces what is already ours. &nbsp;There is no burden of becoming holy, we are already holy in Jesus. &nbsp;Faith lives that truth out!</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, grant that our faith embraces our new life in Christ and his own indwelling presence us by the Holy Spirit. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric/Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we, broken-hearted, contrite, forgiven, believing Children, are His.”</div><div><b><br></b><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>


Romans 6;17-19
