<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Romans 8;1<div><br></div><div><b>1. &nbsp;There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.</b></div><div><br></div><div>Imagine an armed&nbsp;police force searching for a terrible murderer, a child rapist, a violent repeat criminal, a mentally deranged&nbsp;maniac. &nbsp;If they could catch him alive, he would be chained immediately, thrown in prison only to in chains be brought before the court, accused, tried, sentenced, and executed.</div><div><br></div><div><b>BUT:</b>&nbsp; If he were to die, drop dead,&nbsp;<span>&nbsp;before the police caught him, what then would law enforcement do with him? &nbsp; They would holster their weapons, turn their backs, angry that the evil man escaped justice, call for the meat wagon to haul away his filthy carcass, and be uncere</span><span>moniously</span><span>&nbsp;tossed in a&nbsp;</span><span>shallow grave, dirt shoveled over him to stop the stench, and utterly be forgotten.</span></div><div><br></div><div>He would not appear before the authorities to face, <i>“condemnation”. &nbsp;</i>Why? BECAUSE HE IS DEAD!</div><div><br></div><div>That evil man who died before he was brought to Justice, is you and me, in&nbsp;our <i>“old self”.</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div>Now imagine that somehow, metaphysically, that evil man at the moment of death was split apart from himself. &nbsp;Separated from all the wickedness and evil that made up his miserable existence. &nbsp;Imagine further that his soul was totally and completely cleanse. Into his new&nbsp;mind and heart the very Light of Life was now shining.&nbsp;&nbsp;From his heart,&nbsp;<i>“rivers of living water were flowing.” &nbsp; </i>(John 7;38)</div><div><i><br></i></div><div><i>He was&nbsp;</i>regenerated in such a way that as&nbsp;he looked back upon his <i>“old self” he was</i>&nbsp;utterly abhorred.&nbsp;Seeing that <i>“old self” </i>as a total stranger, in no way himself at all. &nbsp;(Jude 1;23)</div><div><br></div><div>He was now truly, <i>“Born anew,”&nbsp; “The workmanship of God, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God the Father had prepared long ago&nbsp;for him to do.” &nbsp;“Destined and appointed to live for the praise of His glory.” &nbsp;</i>And imagine he&nbsp;now &nbsp;hears the voice which called him out of the darkness of death and spoke a&nbsp;new birth into him,&nbsp;<span>say to him, </span><i>“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” &nbsp; &nbsp;</i><span>(John 3;3), (Ephesians 2;8-10), (Ephesians 1;5&amp;6,12), (Matthew 5;14-16)&nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>He, in wonder and amazement, realized he was no longer alone. &nbsp;His very existence was now a living perfect communion and fellowship with Jesus the Christ by the Holy Spirit. &nbsp;He was actually, truly, literally, now existing in God who was made flesh. &nbsp;He, <i>“had died” </i>and&nbsp;very life&nbsp;was now, <i>“hid in Christ in God.”</i></span></div><div><span><i><br></i></span></div><div><span>He had not only escaped <i>“condemnation,” </i>he was now <i>“holy, as God is holy.” &nbsp;</i>(Leviticus 19;1&amp;2)</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>You are now THIS MAN. &nbsp;You are no longer in the <i>“old self”. </i>His dead body is still there for us to go back into if we allow it. &nbsp;BUT, you are no longer that man. &nbsp;Give thanks to God who has delivered you. &nbsp;By faith, be new, live now as who you truly are, the <i>“born anew” </i>man.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, we praise you that now, <i><u>“in Christ”</u></i>, ever since our baptism into Him, we are clean hearted, right spirited, living in Your presence, in possession of the Holy Spirit, restored to the joy of our&nbsp;salvation, in&nbsp;the joy&nbsp;which broke forth from the empty tomb on&nbsp;Easter Sunday, and&nbsp;we are now humbly being upheld by your free Spirit! &nbsp;“<u>In Christ Jesus”</u>&nbsp;we pray, Amen.<i></i></span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Love,</span></div><div><span>Dad/Baba/Eric,Grandpa Pickle Pastor</span></div><div><span>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. You are now THIS MAN.  You are no longer in the “old self”. His dead body is still there for us to go back into if we allow it.  BUT, you are no longer that man.  Give thanks to God who has delivered you.  By faith, be new, live now as who you truly are, the “born anew” man.
Prayer:  Merciful Father, we praise you that now, “in Christ”, ever since our baptism into Him, we are clean hearted, right spirited, living in Your presence, in possession of the Holy Spirit, restored to the joy of our salvation, in the joy which broke forth from the empty tomb on Easter Sunday, and we are now humbly being upheld by your free Spirit!  “In Christ Jesus” we pray, Amen.
