<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Romans 8;3<div><br></div><div><b>3. &nbsp;For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do: sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, he condemned sin in the flash.</b><br><br><br>Our Heavenly Father had many reasons to send His only Son:</div><div><br></div><div>John 3;16 teaches us, <i>“ For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”</i></div><div>God’s own love for us&nbsp;and all His creation,&nbsp;compelled<i>&nbsp;</i>Him to send Jesus. &nbsp;Jesus incarnate is the visible means by which&nbsp;God reveals His love to this world.&nbsp;<i>“God is love.” </i>(1 John 4;8)</div><div><br></div><div>The Father had to send the Son, to keep His Word to Adam and Eve and all their descendants, that <i>“the woman’s Seed”</i>&nbsp; would <i>“crush the serpents head.” &nbsp;</i>(Genesis 3;15) and thus destroy the Serpent.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>The Father sent the Son so that we could share in, participate&nbsp;in&nbsp;His <i>“death.”&nbsp;&nbsp;</i>(Romans 6;3)</div><div>The Father sent the Son so that we could share in, participate in His resurrection, <i>“raised from the dead.”</i><i></i></div><div>(Romans 6;4)</div><div>The Father sent the Son so that we, <i>“might walk in newness of life.” &nbsp;</i>(Romans 6;4)<i></i></div><div>The Father sent the Son to, <i>“unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth.” </i>(Ephesians 1;10)</div><div><br></div><div><b>BUT,</b>&nbsp;in our text today, we learn of another reason:</div><div><br></div><div>The Father sent the Son, <i>“for sin.” </i>(v.3)</div><div><i>“For our sake He made him </i>(Jesus) <i>to <u>be sin</u>&nbsp;who knew no sin, so that <u>in Him</u>&nbsp;we might become the righteousness of God.” &nbsp;</i>(2 Corinthians 5;21)</div><div><br></div><div>Jesus/God, the Second Person of the ‘Undivided Unity,’ came not just to innocently die like a perfect lamb,</div><div>but to actually receive into himself the totality of all sin for all man kind for all eternity.</div><div><i>“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” &nbsp;</i>(Isaiah 53;6)</div><div><i><br></i></div><div>Jesus did not die as the holy, innocent, perfect Lamb of God. &nbsp;Jesus died as the utmost wretched sin-filled&nbsp;man of all. &nbsp;He was utterly despicable, completely repulsive, sickeningly vile, filthy and evil beyond human comprehension. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>If we could have witnessed Christ dying on the cross and seen Him with the eyes of the Father, we would have seen all&nbsp;betrayal, rape, murder, theft, hate, addiction, lust, pride, envy, malice, rebellion, corruption, malice, bitterness, wrath, cruelty, bloodthirsty violence, deceitfulness, and&nbsp;sloth ever committed by us all falling upon and transforming Jesus into something unrecognizable evil. &nbsp;He would no longer appear to be human. &nbsp;<i>“As many were astonished at him— His appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the sons of men—“ &nbsp; Romans 8;3

Our Heavenly Father had many reasons to send His only Son:
