Any one who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>When Paul says, <i>“you are not in the flesh, you are in the Spirit,”</i>&nbsp; he is teaching us <u>where</u>&nbsp;to find our authentic, real, true, born anew ‘self.’</div><div><br></div><div>Paul is admonishing us to be who God has made us in our baptism into Christ, not who we once were.</div><div><br></div><div>If our mind and heart are filled with fear, resentment, frustration, and&nbsp;anger, then we are no longer who God made us to be in Christ. &nbsp;We have mentally and&nbsp;emotionally&nbsp;left Christ,&nbsp;who is&nbsp;our true identity.&nbsp;&nbsp;We unwittingly and&nbsp;unawares,&nbsp;have been deceived by the spiritual zombi,&nbsp;(the flesh&nbsp;who is forever trying to tell us who we are. &nbsp;He is a liar.)</div><div><br></div><div>&nbsp;&nbsp;He tells us that we are&nbsp;wretched and nothing is as it should be, but&nbsp;the truth is: we are a new creation in Christ, the workmanship of God, and,&nbsp;<u>everything is just as it should be.</u><i>&nbsp; </i>We are compelled by the Spirit to give thanks especially&nbsp;in <u>every one</u>&nbsp;of these&nbsp;difficult and trying&nbsp;circumstances. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Do not allow&nbsp;that&nbsp;old corpse to&nbsp;stink up your life and control your thoughts and&nbsp;emotions. &nbsp;<i>“ Little children, you are of God, and have overcome them; &nbsp;for&nbsp;He </i>(Christ by the Spirit)<i>&nbsp;who is in you is greater&nbsp;than he </i>(the old self in league with Satan) <i>who is in the world.” &nbsp;</i>(1 John 4;4)</div><div><i><br></i></div><div><i> &nbsp;&nbsp;</i>Drown him again in the blessed waters of denial of self, drown him by faith&nbsp;with thanksgiving. &nbsp;Trusting that all is as it should be, even the apparent calamities and seemingly unending irritations and&nbsp;frustrations which God in His infinite wisdom and love is allowing into your life, for good!&nbsp;&nbsp;<b></b></div><div><br></div><div>We are to embrace our troubles&nbsp;and fears for what they truly are, a sharing in the sufferings of Christ. &nbsp;They are opportunities to give back good for evil, to manifest Christ to his enemies, and show them they are defeated. &nbsp;Enduring them conforms us to the image of Christ.</div><div><br></div><div>Does the Spirit of God really dwell in you? Romans 8;9

When Paul says, “you are not in the flesh, you are in the Spirit,”  he is teaching us where to find our authentic, real, true, born anew ‘self.’
