<html><head></head><body><div><div><div>Romans 9;25-29<div><br></div><div><b>25. &nbsp;As indeed he says, in Hosea, “Those who were not my people, I will call ‘My people,’ and her who was not beloved. I will call ‘My beloved.’”</b></div><div><b>26. &nbsp;“And in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ They will be called ‘sons of the living God.’”</b></div><div><b>27. &nbsp;And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand&nbsp;of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved;&nbsp;</b></div><div><b>28. &nbsp;for the Lord will execute his sentence upon the earth with rigor and dispatch.”</b></div><div><b>29. &nbsp;And as Isaiah predicted, “If the Lord of hosts had not left us children, we would have fared&nbsp;like&nbsp;Sodom and been&nbsp;made like Gomorrah.”</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>We do not often consider the sorrow and sadness that is alway a part of the love of God in His heart, and by virtue of our oneness with Him, is now (by God’s Grace) a very real part of our own hearts as well.<br><br>As I wrote earlier, ‘to love is to suffer.’ &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Paul writes&nbsp;upholding salvation as the work of God only, teaching what Jesus taught, <i>“No one can come to Me, unless the Father draw him; and I will raise him up at the last day.” &nbsp;</i>(John 6;44) &nbsp;Paul’s own heart had to be breaking with the love of God for his fellow kinsmen by blood, the Jews and all who reject Christ, intellectually and meta-physically.</div><div><br></div><div>Many of the ‘Chosen People’ reject God’s call to repentance and faith in Christ Jesus as God’s anointed Son, the Messiah. &nbsp;Instead, they trust in their biology, rejecting their own prophets, who foretold how the Savior, the<i>”Woman’s Seed” </i>(Genesis 3;15)&nbsp;would be identified. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies, from both&nbsp;his legal (through Joseph)&nbsp;as well as his biological line of descent</div><div>(from the Virgin&nbsp;Mary, Isaiah 7;14), to his place of Birth, (the City of David, Bethlehem), to his exile in Egypt (Matthew 2;14&amp;15), to his kinsman John the Baptist preparing His way in the spirit and power of Elijah, (Luke 1;17), to his upbringing in Nazareth, (Galilee of the Gentiles,&nbsp;Isaiah 9;1ff) therefore being called a ‘Nazarene,’ (one who is despised and rejected, INRI Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews), to Jesus being the source of all&nbsp;living water flowing from His side pierced by the spear, He is&nbsp;the Rock struck by Moses in the wilderness, His cross is the tree is of wood cast&nbsp;into the bitter waters of ‘Mariah,’ (making the bitter, sweet, life giving),&nbsp;to all His miraculous&nbsp;healings (the deaf hear, the blind receive their sight), His teachings (Isaiah 61;1-11)&nbsp;as our (Wonderful) Counsellor (Isaiah 9;6), His innocent suffering and death as the Lamb of God, (Isaiah 53;1-12) even&nbsp;His ‘rich man’s’ grave, His (and our own) resurrection (Hosea 6;2), His (and our) Ascension,&nbsp;(Psalm 68;18-20).</div><div><br></div><div>To reject all these testimonies from God and glory in the flesh is utter evil, likened to that of Sodom and Gomorrah, yet even in the midst of such hatred and great rebellion against our loving Father, our Father continues to deliver His remnant,&nbsp;those whom he has chosen in Christ, both Jew and Gentile, Alleluia!</div><div><br></div><div>The fact that anyone at all is delivered from sin and death, and restored even now&nbsp;to true Life in Christ, is wonderful and astounding beyond human understanding. &nbsp;To God the Father Son and Holy Spirit, belongs all praise and glory now and forever, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, we praise You that in Christ alone, we have been, <i>“destined and appointed to live for the praise of Your glory.” &nbsp;</i>(Ephesians 1;11&amp;12).
