<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Romans 10;3&amp;4<div><br></div><div><b>3. &nbsp;For, being ignorant of the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.&nbsp;</b></div><div><b>4. &nbsp;For Christ is the end of the law, that everyone who has faith may be justified.</b></div><div><br></div><div>There is no true righteousness apart from God’s own righteousness.</div><div>To attempt to create our own righteousness through the keeping of the Law is hopelessly impossible even for forgiven Believers. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>This was Paul’s problem in Romans 7.</div><div><i>“ For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I&nbsp;that do it, but sin which dwells within me. So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. For I&nbsp;&nbsp;delight in the law of God, in my inmost self, but I see in my members another law at war with the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin which dwells in my members.” </i>(vss. 19-23)</div><div><br></div><div>Paul wrote these words as a forgiven, Baptized Believer. &nbsp;Only our Triune God is Righteous, Just, and perfect in Holiness. &nbsp;If we are to be righteous, just, and holy, there is no other way except through Christ Jesus and faith in Him. &nbsp;We&nbsp;become <i>“partakers of the Divine Nature” </i>(2 Peter 1;4) through the gift of faith given to us by the working of the Word and the Holy Spirit. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>This&nbsp;<i>“righteousness”</i>&nbsp;is not just accounted to Believers&nbsp;in the heavenly realms, reckoned to us in a spiritually technical sense, it/He is indwelling us, for Christ is in us and we are in Christ. &nbsp;The living out of the born anew life is a manifestation of God’s own Righteousness indwelling us. &nbsp;We do not create our&nbsp;own righteousness, we manifest Him who is indwelling us.</div><div><br></div><div>To attempt create ‘our own’ righteousness&nbsp;through the keeping of the law is to deny our sinful condition. &nbsp;</div><div>This is the prideful rebellion of Satan.</div><div>We, with Paul, need a new, greater Law, the Law of the Spirit of Life IN Christ Jesus. &nbsp;This means we live&nbsp;no longer as independent spiritual creatures, but as dependent children who draw their entire life from God through the Means of Grace. &nbsp;It means we have become One with Jesus by the Spirit, as a wife is one with her husband. &nbsp;We are <i>“baptized INTO Christ,”</i>&nbsp;and He is now IN us.</div><div><br></div><div>When Paul writes, <i>“For Christ is ‘the end’ of the Law,” </i>&nbsp;he does not mean the law of God ceases to exist.</div><div>It means our efforts to become holy through the keeping of the law in our own power has ended.</div><div>The Law of God is eternal, it does not end, but it is not the way by which we are righteous. &nbsp;Christ is the way.</div><div>&nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div>Our righteousness is Christ’s own righteousness, we ‘partake of it’ through faith in Him. &nbsp;</div><div>Apart from faith in&nbsp;Christ, and Christ indwelling us, all other efforts to be righteous are counterfeit.</div><div>They may look good to man but are an offense to God. &nbsp;Such counterfeit righteousness only feeds man’s pride.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, bless us to be branches firmly attached to the Vine. &nbsp;Bless us to believe in the indwelling Christ who empowers and acts out his own perfect love in and through us. &nbsp;Bless us to be the glove on Your Hand dear Father. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric/Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we, broken-hearted, contrite, forgiven, believing children, are His.”</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
