<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Romans 10;11-13<div><br></div><div><b>11. &nbsp;The scripture says, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”</b></div><div><b>12. &nbsp;For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all&nbsp;and bestows his riches upon all who call upon him.</b></div><div><b>13. &nbsp;For,&nbsp;“everyone who calls upon&nbsp;the name of the Lord will be saved.”</b>&nbsp;(Joel 2;32)</div><div><br></div><div>There is a link between “<i>believes in Him” </i>and to <i>“call upon the name of the Lord.”</i></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>Believes what? &nbsp;Believes in ‘Who’? &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>The first time scripture records that, <i>“men began to call upon the name of the Lord” </i>is found in Genesis 4;26. &nbsp; To <i>“call upon the name of the Lord” </i>is connected to Seth and his first born son Enoch.</div><div>This begins the fulfillment of the ‘Promise of the Woman’s Seed.’ &nbsp;The Messianic line of descent begins with Seth and all the generations of&nbsp;sons leading down to Jesus the Christ. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>To <i>“call upon the name of the Lord” </i>is to by God’s grace&nbsp;be mindful of the promise of God, that a male, born of woman, would crush the serpent’s head. &nbsp;It is the hope of deliverance from all sin and death. &nbsp;It is an expression and an act of faith coming from&nbsp;hearts in whom Christ by the Spirit dwells. &nbsp;Hearts&nbsp;which believe that God is faithful and will do what He promises.</div><div><br></div><div>We believe&nbsp;Jesus is the <i>“woman’s Seed.” &nbsp;</i>By God’s grace, we believe, and by God’s grace we pray in faith calling upon His name.</div><div><br></div><div>Without&nbsp;the promise of the coming Savior, there is no basis for prayer. &nbsp;That is the essence of what it means to, <i>“Call upon the name of the Lord.” &nbsp; </i>It is the activity of the born-anew Believer. &nbsp;<span>It is the result of Christ come by faith in</span><span>to us.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Prayer without the hope of Christ is hopeless.</span></div><div><br></div><div>To <i>“Call upon the name of the Lord” </i>is evidence of Christ dwelling within us. &nbsp;All prayers of faith are founded upon the promise of&nbsp;<i>“the woman’s Seed.” &nbsp;</i>(Genesis 3;15)<u></u></div><div><br></div><div><i>“For God shows no partiality.” </i>(Romans 2;11) &nbsp;(KJV uses the phrase, <i>“God is no respecter of persons”</i>)<i></i></div><div><br></div><div>Our salvation has nothing to do with our biological&nbsp;parentage or DNA, our ethnic background is irrelevant to God. &nbsp;His plan is to bring us all as His own children into His Kingdom, with Him&nbsp;as our Father, and Jesus as our Elder Brother. &nbsp;The Holy Spirit is our born-anew spiritual DNA. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>I love how in the Apostles Creed we confess, <i>“I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church…”. </i>These are not two separate things, but one, the same thing<i>. &nbsp; </i>The Church of all true Believers is the manifestation of God in man and man in God, by the&nbsp;Holy Spirit. &nbsp;(see, Ephesians 3;10)</div><div><br></div><div>Just remember, when we <i>“call upon the name of the Lord” </i>it is from out of the promise of God in Christ. &nbsp;It is not a work of man (from man’s strength), it is&nbsp;all God’s doing, to Him be all honor and glory forever and ever.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, we praise you that in the face of sin and death, You have given all humanity hope in the <i>“woman’s Seed.” &nbsp; </i>Whenever we are troubled by our sin and the sin of others, whenever death and loss grieve our souls, bless us by the Holy Spirit&nbsp;&nbsp;to <i>“call upon His name” </i>(Jesus, the promise), and find our comfort. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric/Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>‘A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we, broken-hearted, contrite, forgiven, believing children, are His.”</div><div><br></div><div><div><br></div><div><br><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
