Indeed they have; for “Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.”</b></div><div><b>19. &nbsp;Again, I ask, did Israel not understand? First Moses says, “I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; with a foolish nation, I will make you angry.”</b></div><div><b>20. &nbsp;Then Isaiah is so bold as to say, “I have been found by those who did not seek me; I have shown myself to those who did not ask for me.”<br></b><div><b>21. &nbsp;But of Israel, he says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>Here, Paul returns again in his own struggle to understand the mysterious resistance of the Jews to believing that&nbsp;Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. &nbsp;(Luther in his day was also disturbed over this resistance as a race, especially since the Reformation had restored the Gospel in such&nbsp;clarity.)</div><div><br></div><div>&nbsp;Paul sees the Gospel of Christ&nbsp;clearly now, (but only because he was gifted with a Vision of Christ on the road to Damascus). &nbsp;He himself also&nbsp;suffered for a long time&nbsp;under this blindness from God.</div><div><br></div>Paul&nbsp;asserts that the truth of the&nbsp;Gospel, (that God alone is the ‘Giver of Life’, NOT man by his own efforts) is at the heart of all&nbsp;the Old Testament scriptures. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>When Paul writes, <i>“‘Their voice’</i>&nbsp;(the heavens and the stars)&nbsp;<i>has gone out to all the earth”</i>&nbsp; (Psalm 19;4), he reminds us of&nbsp;the testimony of all Creation to the Creator, (to Jews and Gentiles alike). &nbsp;The glory of God, the only&nbsp;Giver of all Life, is revealed to us all in what He has made, ourselves included. &nbsp;Paul is saying, we Jews at least&nbsp;should know better!</div><div><br></div><div>He also writes of<span>&nbsp;the ‘Voice of God’</span><span> speaking through&nbsp;the Jews by&nbsp;</span><span>their own prophets,&nbsp;Moses and Isaiah. &nbsp;They&nbsp;</span><span>prophetically revealed</span><span> that God himself has allowed a ‘veil’ to come over the mind of the Jews, until</span><span> the full number of Gentiles is brought in to the Kingdom of God. &nbsp;Then those of the Jews who are</span><span>&nbsp;also&nbsp;the ‘</span><span>Elect of God’ will also be brought in. &nbsp;(see Romans 11;9&amp;10, 25)</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>This indeed is mysterious stuff!</span></div><div><br></div><div>By this, we Gentile Believers&nbsp;in thankful&nbsp;amazement, joyfully confess that only by the grace of God, NOT of&nbsp;ourselves, do we now believe and are saved. &nbsp;All glory belongs to God alone.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, You&nbsp;enlighten us with Your Truth by Your living Word and Spirit, deliver us from the deceptions of our enemies who tempt us to misbelieve that we are the workers of our own salvation by the Law. &nbsp;Forgive us and bless us to always and only give to You all glory, honor, and praise. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric/Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we, broken-hearted, contrite, forgiven, believing children, are His.”<span>&nbsp;</span></div><div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
