I myself am&nbsp;an Israelite, a descendent of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin.</b></div><div><b>2. &nbsp;God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Do you not know what the scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads&nbsp;with God against Israel?</b></div><div><b>3. &nbsp;“Lord, they have killed thy&nbsp;prophets, they have demolished thy altars, and I alone am&nbsp;left, and they seek my life”</b></div><div><b>4. &nbsp;But what is God’s reply to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand&nbsp;men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”</b></div><div><b>5. &nbsp;So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace.</b></div><div><b>6. &nbsp;But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.<br></b><br>Paul is teaching here that even in his day, there are those (called the <i>“remnant” </i>of the Jews)&nbsp;<span>who (like himself)&nbsp;are believers, and there will be in every generation Jews by biological heritage who are chosen by God to be saved. &nbsp;Even though sadly many remain blind to Jesus as God. &nbsp;The Trinity is irrational to them and therefore rejected.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Only by the grace are any of us given faith to believe beyond the rational.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>This is again why I think Jesus said, <i>“Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. &nbsp;Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” &nbsp;</i>(Matthew 18;3&amp;4)</span></div><div>Children have the capacity to embrace and hold fast&nbsp;to that which surpasses the rational.&nbsp;Children believe in the supernatural. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Our God became flesh, He was born of a virgin, He silenced the devil, He&nbsp;changed water&nbsp;into wine, Walked on the water, healed the sick, made the lame to walk, the deaf to hear, the blind to see, multiplied the loaves and fishes, cast out deacons,&nbsp;raised the dead, withered the fig tree, silenced the scribes and Pharisees, astonished<span>&nbsp;the Sadducees, prayed for those who crucified Him, was raised by the Father from the dead, appeared to His disciples&nbsp;in the upper room,&nbsp;ascended into heaven, and now fills all things, even us!</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>This is our God. &nbsp;He has given us new clean hearts, filled us with His love, and commanded us to <i>“Go, and make disciples, baptize them, and teach them the joyous&nbsp;obedience of the faith.” &nbsp;</i></span></div><div><span><i><br></i></span></div><div><span>This is our God, He has destined and appointed us to&nbsp;live for the praise of His glory. &nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>He defends us from all danger, guards and protects us from all evil. &nbsp;He has purchased and won us from all sin, from death, and from the power of the devil&nbsp;with his holy precious blood and Innocent suffering and death. &nbsp;We are&nbsp;His dear children, He is our dear&nbsp;Father and indwelling&nbsp;Elder Brother. &nbsp;He enlightens us with his gifts, sanctifies and keeps us, empowering us to in humility, to&nbsp;deny ourselves, carry our crosses, and follow Him.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>He makes us one with our believing&nbsp;Jewish brethren, and with Him, Alleluia!</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, we praise You&nbsp;that You&nbsp;have restored to us the joys of being&nbsp;Your own dear children. &nbsp;Bless and keep us ever in Your grace and the wonders of&nbsp;faith beyond&nbsp;rationality. &nbsp;This,&nbsp;You have worked in us by Your living&nbsp;Word and Spirit. &nbsp;Keep us ever in the Mind of Christ, in His own joy and peace.</span></div><div><span>We pray in Jesus, Amen.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Love,</span></div><div><span>Dad/Baba/Eric/Grandpa Pickle Pastor</span></div><div><span>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we, broken-hearted, contrite, forgiven, believing children, are His.”&nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
