<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Romans 12;3-5<div><br></div><div><b>3. &nbsp;For by the grace given to me I bid everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to you think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith which God has assigned him.</b></div><div><b>4. &nbsp;For as in one body, we have many members, and all the members do not have the same function,</b></div><div><b>5. &nbsp;so we, though many, our one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.<br></b><br>Notice how Paul describes his appeal to us all: <i>“For by the grace given to me, I bid everyone…”</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div>Paul is teaching us that when he writes or speaks, he is not acting out of his own will or strength. &nbsp;He says,</div><div><i>“By the grace given to me,” </i>&nbsp;Paul is teaching that it is not really Paul himself at all who is making this appeal to us, but rather God at work in Paul. &nbsp;The <i>“Grace given”</i>&nbsp;is Christ by the Holy Spirit inspiring Paul to make this appeal to us for humility. &nbsp;(see, Philippians 2;13)</div><div><br></div><div>The <i>“sober judgement” </i>is nothing more or less than recognizing that, <i>“For I know that nothing good dwells within&nbsp;me,&nbsp;that is in my flesh.” </i>(Romans 7;18)</div><div><br></div><div>God would have us to stop thinking of ourselves as ‘private, isolated’&nbsp;&nbsp;individuals, but rather shared parts of the greater, we are&nbsp;<i>“one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.”</i></div><div><br></div><div>This is meta-physical. &nbsp;This is God’s plan, to <i>“unite all things together in him </i>(Christ)<i>.” </i>(Ephesians 1;10)</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, You have joined us into Christ Jesus and also into one another as the very Body of Christ. &nbsp;Bless us to cease to think of ourselves as isolated I do ideals, but as belonging to Christ our head and joined together into a new living Holy Body, loving and caring for one another and together joined to do Your will. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, Amen.<br><br><br><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>

Notice how Paul describes his appeal to us all: “For by the grace given to me, I bid everyone…”
